New President Surgical Robotics Medtronic
at Orsi Academy
On April 6, 2022 we had the pleasure to welcome Mr. Mike Marinaro, recently named Operating Unit President of Surgical Robotics Medtronic, at Orsi Academy!
Marinaro is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience and success at Medtronic. Only 2 weeks after the leadership transition, we feel pleased to meet him & more importantly to strenghten the relations for some future promising projects. Since Medtronic is one of our most important structural medtech partners, we have the ideal attributes to take training with their robotics to the next level.

After a lovely lunch served in the Orsi restaurant and an introduction to the overall lab facilities & services, he got to see the many opportunities and challenges in robotic surgery with his own eyes on the Hugo RAS system at the Medtronic dedicated cluster.
The day after, Mike Marinaro joined our CEO Prof. Dr. Alex Mottrie in the OR to attend his first live procedure with the Hugo RAS System at the OLV Hospital Aalst.
