React Frontend Developer (student job)

Job objectives

Orsi Innotech is the innovation department within Orsi. Innotech advances innovation within healthcare using computer vision and data science technologies to provide insights and feedback pre-, intra- and post-operative to the surgeons. To do so, a lot of video data is required to train , evaluate and validate solutions. An internal video database has been set up, and is actively contributed to, in order to automate the organization of this data and facilitate data access. In this role you will enhance the UI/UX of this existing video database platform, written in React, to commercial standards.

Tasks & responsibilities

The student is responsible for:

  • UI design and implementation of existing and new components of the React UI
  • Implementing the corresponding API endpoints inside Flask API and SQLAlchemy
  • Creating and/or modifying PostgreSQL tables
  • Deployment of React UI on Kubernetes cluster
  • Thinking together with the team of the best way forward

Relevant education, knowledge & experience

For this interesting and challenging position we are in search of a student with:

  • Bachelor or Master level student in (Applied) Informatics or Computer Science
  • Team player, able to work in a fast paced environment with start-up mentality
  • Good communication skills, both written & verbal, technical & non-technical (English)
  • Experience in React, Flask, PostgreSQL
  • Nice to have: experience in Kubernetes
