Today in OR 1 and 2, we have the honor of welcoming Dr. Filip Muysoms. He is proctoring the "Hernia Repair Course", organized by Intuitive Surgical. During this training, the focus is on performing the TAR-technique (transversus abdominis muscle release) for posterior component separation during major abdominal wall reconstructions. The advanced general surgeons are practicing this on human cadavers using different mesh-types produced by Covidien.
